Cybersecurity Experts Urge Responsible AI Adoption, Not Overreliance
At the recent NetDiligence Cyber Risk Summit, HaystackID’s Chief Innovation Officer and President of Global Investigations and Cyber Incident Response Services, Michael Sarlo, shared his expertise on a panel exploring artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity.
Moderated by Risk Strategies’ Allen Blount, the session “AI in Cybersecurity: Efficiency, Reliability, Legal Oversight & Responsibility in Incident Response” covered the potential benefits and risks of deploying AI for security operations.
Sarlo explained that HaystackID sees AI as a “force multiplier,” not an outright replacement for humans. AI speeds up threat hunting, insider risk detection, forensic investigations, and document review for HaystackID clients. However, extensive vetting and oversight are crucial, as AI lacks human discernment.
HaystackID’s Vazantha Meyers Honored with Black Leadership Award from Profiles in Diversity Journal
Profiles in Diversity Journal, a quarterly publication dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion, has announced the winners of its 2023 Black Leadership Awards. The awards recognize outstanding black professionals across various fields for their career achievements and community service.
“The excellent leaders featured in PDJ’s 2023 fourth-quarter issue are leaders and teachers with a passion for guiding, mentoring, and advocating for their professions, communities, and the next generation of professionals,” said James Rector, publisher of Profiles in Diversity Journal.
